Keep seeing this book title pop up?
Should I read it? BF my first for 6 months but only managed 4months with DS. Planning on EBF this one (21 weeks up the spout)

fabulous book and the reason i am bfing ds2 after only managing a few weeks with ds1.

also get yourself some good practical support from group - bfn, nct, etc.

if you're looking for a book about HOW to breaastfeed then I would buy "the womanly art of breastfeeding"

if you're interested in well, um the politics of breastfeeding then buy "the politics of breastfeeding"

it's a compelling read!

i'm kind of looking for a bit of both> i have successfully BF but need refresher ad i'm also trying to explain the benefits to my new partner.

I bought this and forgot about it on my shelf, must get it down and have a look-thanks for the reminder!

I'd recommend reading it but to remind yourself why it matters to you to breastfeed. The latest edition came out about 3 months after my ds2 was born, and I was quite glad to have got through the difficulties of establishing bf at that point, but it did make me feel angrier about the negative experiences I'd had which led to me failing to feed ds1.

Bestfeeding might also be worth a look.
