Book about bullying!!!!!!

Hello!!

An author recently came to my daughter's primary school, he had written a book about bullying, I thought it was quite interesting to have a book aimed at such a young age, an age when bullying can start!

Anyway, he signed a copy for her and bought it home, its actually pretty good! its called Waldo the Worm and its by The Nosuch Disco (weird name huh?), its all about a worm with a fin that can swim!! its quite funky and the design is different from what i am used to!!

Its a very wholesome message, i wont give away the end...

Has anyone else heard of it? would love to know what you think!

Just got the book, signed to my boys on request by the author, thought it was brill and my boys, age 6 and 4 loved it. Oldest one said this Nosuch Disco must be a very clever person indeed to do such wonderful drawings. I think it's a lovley book that makes the topic of bullying clear to an agegroup that otherwise struggle to connect the wordwith the feeling, without it being to sanctemonious. To cut myself short: lovely book, go and check out Waldo!

For older children there is a fantastic book by an author called Jim Carrington, it was released earlier this year, and is called 'Inside my Head'. It has been dicussed on Radio 4, and is up for an award (sorry, can't remember which one!)

It is set in rural Norfolk, and, as I originate from rural Norfolk, it appealed to me straight away - ie I am not the author, I am simply justifying why I bought the book! (In case Bruffin thinks I am Jim Carrington in disguise!) :)
