I have read all of her books, she is great. She has two books of short stories and articles, that made me laugh out loud Grin

She is fabulous. Last chance saloon is wonderful. Rachel's Holiday is my favourite. This charming man wasn't my favourite. Her latest one which i can't remember the name of was more like cecelia aherne TBH

i have got those books to read but havent gotten round to it yet!
she is so funny but i agree, can write about the serious side of life without boring me.
would like to see watermelon as i know it was made into a film and the book was great:)

Rachel's Holiday can still make me laugh out loud when I'm reading it, even after 10 or so reads Smile.

I think the quality of her books has decreased markedly over time but her early ones are very warm and funny and some of the family stuff makes me roar Grin (it's very close to home as I'm Irish).

Rachel's holiday was the first of hers I had read and I loved it!

I know I have read Watermelon, but I cannot remember it. Also the one about the woman whose husband died in the car accident was really good Sad

BelleDameAvecBroomstick · 17/10/2010 21:20

I've just finished "The Brightest Star in the Sky". It's another good one...

I really enjoyed 'Anybody out there', would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoyed her other books.
