I'm thinking of placing another order with amazon uk. Is there anything anyone can recommend in particular that they've read recently? Unputdownable stuff but no chicklit à la Kinsella please.

I recommend We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver if you haven't already read it. Mind you, I don't know what sort of thing you like ...

What about Eve Green by Susan Fletcher.

sansouci, forget amazon. go to your local library. you can pick up the same stuff, read it, return it, and its all free.
