Anyone a member of World Books?

I just wondered if anyone knows about their membership. The website says you have to order four books after your introductory offer. Just wondered if you could order all four of these books in one go and take advantage of their free delivery, then be done with them or whether the four books have to be purchased on four separate occasions?

Hmm not sure about that. I am with them but tbh I am not impressed.

I only joined to get the free digital camera and it hasn't been back in stock since i placed my order months ago.

You can buy 4 books on one occasion but they're a bit of a pain tbh. They send out a magazine every month and often do 'special' mags as well. You HAVE to contact them every time to reject the editors choice otherwise it will be sent to you and you have to either buy it or pay to return it. Plus you're committed to them for a year so have to keep doing it. I also had real problems trying to cancel my membership- it's impossible to get trhough to a human and emails are often ignored! AFAIK the books have to be non-sale items as well.
HTH!! I'm feeling a bit scarred by them!

Hmmm, thanks, they don't sound too great to deal with then. The offer I've got was with the Good Food and the free gift is either Gordon Ramsey Makes it Easy or Ainsley's Friends & Family Cookbook plus a bag (the bag looks a bit naff). The offer looks good, when I totted it up the books I choose came to £11 for 6 cookbooks/gardening books. I will certainly take some more time to think about this one and although I good deal think it will be a "No".

Thanks for your help.

V. hard to contact them and deliverys often go missing and you have to chase them up.
Also if you are like me you end up buying more than 4 books and you could probably buy ythem cheaper elsewhere.

I got the cheap books on the introductory offer and then bought the obligatory books after a couple of months. Haven't bothered with them since, just have to keep going online and saying I don't want the editors choice which is always too expensive.

Go for it MrsSpoon but books are cheaper either on ebay, in charity shops or on The Book People, even Amazon can be cheaper.

Thanks KGC, came on this thread coz I was gonna ask about Books for Children. Don't think I'll bother. Still, I might ask others for their opinion on another thread, but i have taken your thoughts on board.
