Suggestions for DH's birthday please- new fiction (SF or humourous)

Arghh I'm all out of inspiration. Please can you suggest some books for a man who has read all the Terry Pratchetts (new one all wrapped and ready for him), Robert Rankin, and Jasper Fforde.

Has he tried Stephen King? - my DS is a big fan and he also loves Terry Pratchett,

Iain Banks 'the Crow Road' or any of his others might be worth a look, or possibly something by Christopher Brookmyre - there is a lot of humour in their writing.

Not sure about new releases though, sorry.
