I've read the Balzano/Byrne series, I think the first one is The Rosary Girls. They are good, but can be quite graphic. I enjoy them, but there isn't anything really distinctive about them,and they have never made it to my pre-order list, I generally pick them up when they are on offer in a supermarket.

I've read the Balzano/Byrne series too - I like them because they're set in Philadelphia - DH is from there and I recognise a lot of the places.
