anyone read The Slap ??

looks good on the blurb

I enjoyed it on the whole- very easy to read, but the ending is a bit of a let down.
Most people here didn't like it- general concensus was that all the characters needed a slap, not just the boy.

I found it easy to read but no great shakes in the literature steaks / stakes. Neighbours meets Dynasty?

I really loved it and raved about it to husband who read it on my recommendation and hated it .
