Ok so I know I'm sad but what would anyone recommend in this field. Not mills and Boone but something sort of romantic and modern. I have just finished Wolf Hall and before that W N T T A Kevin... So I need some fun..

Barbara Trapido - sort of whacky families with a bit of love.

This is a good read. It's fun and romantic with a strong, engaging heroine. Historical rather than modern though, if that matters.
