Just finished 'This much I know is true'.

Just.....Grin

After he composed my favourite book ever - 'She's Come Undone' I didn't think I could love another book.

The man can do no wrong IMO.

Anyone else??
1st book I mentioned is very long (900 pages, but I read in 3 days) but sooooo worth it.

Have just swapped 'the hour I first believed' for 'i know thus much is true' with a friend and going to start it tonight. Only read the one of his so far but loved it - glad I've got a good one to look forward to!

moondog · 21/08/2010 18:09

Wonderful wonderful book isn't it?
(This much)
Both are actually.

Both my sister and I were blown away by it.

PotteringAlong · 21/08/2010 18:17

Ooh, now very excited at the prospect of starting it!

atswimtwolengths · 21/08/2010 19:45

He's fantastic, isn't he? A kind of hidden treasure, too.

fustyarse · 21/08/2010 21:18

he's amazing

have read the first 2, am about to start 'the hour' soon

I lend him out and everyone loves him! I love his style of writing,it's engaging and compelling and sometimes painfully honest.

BeckyBendyLegs · 22/08/2010 09:22

I've read two of his books - totally unputadownable.

Threelittleducks · 22/08/2010 17:54

It's so engaging.
Had dh read it too - he loved it.
I actually read the last three chapters out loud to him so I could read the wonderful ending again.

Oooo, shall have to get a hold of 'the hour'.

Thing I love the most about him is the fact I picked both books up in charity shops and always at a time in my life when I could do with the kind of spiritual/soulful offering he makes with his in-depth writing style.

I have read all three and thought they were all excellent. "The hour" is different, you can see how it took so long to write, but I really enjoyed that too.

misspollysdolly · 22/08/2010 23:56

I loved 'I Know This Much is True' - Fab, fab book Grin

suzikettles · 22/08/2010 23:59

Ooooh! I didn't realise he'd written anything after I Know This Much Is True - I'm off to Amazon.

Fab, fab writer.

CornishKK · 23/08/2010 21:51

YES, love him and love all of his books. I also have (but have not finished) the collection of stories from female prisoners that he put together.
