My husband is about to publish his first book at the end of this month and it?s called ?Their Spirits, My Demons?. It?s an account of his life growing up in a fairly emotionally unstable family environment plagued by alcoholism. A number of different topics are discussed including parenting, the importance of role models in children?s lives, bullying, the breakdown of a son?s relationship with his parents and bereavement amongst others. However, the book is hardly a ?misery memoir?. It?s a warm and humorous account of what was at times a fairly difficult time for him and he?s managed to come through the other end of it all in pretty good shape!!
