Read a shining review of this in the Guardian a couple of weeks ago, so when I saw it on the shelf I picked it up on a whim.
No real knowledge of modern art other than what you see in the papers but I REALLY enjoyed it, made me laugh all the way through! I think the kids must have wondered where I went to all weekend - I just couldn't put it down!
The characters are really real and go through things we all do, so don't let the art setting put you off. I'm pretty sure this book talks about modern art in the same way as most of us think about it - just a bit ridiculous :o
Don't want to go on too much or ruin the plot for everyone, but has anyone else read it? And can anyone reccommend anything else by this author for me?
