He likes to be read to before he goes to bed so am off book shopping today..any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, especially ones regarding the situ we are in i.e His Mum & Dad are divorced and he now has a new baby brother.

Tiger who came to tea
Biggest Bed in the World
Dr Seuss - cat in the hat, green eggs and ham
Topsy and Tim
Gruffalo, Gruffalo's Child, Room on a Broom, Sanial and the Whale - all those by same author, not found a bad one yet
The very lazy ladybird

Agree with Hulababy and popsycal's suggestions. Others to try are

Pumpkin Soup (or anything else by Helen Cooper)
Some Dogs Do (or anything else by Jez Alborough)
The Kiss That Missed
THe Owl who was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson

Can't help with any situation books. These are our favourites,

Dear Zoo
Going on a bear hunt
Pass the jam jim
Don't put your finger in the jelly nelly
I don't like peas
