I've just read this - bought it from a charity shop on Saturday afternoon and finished it last night.

I really enjoyed it, it really made me think - love her writing style although she does ramble at times (found the accounts of the conversations at the Weds meetings hardgoing and not that necessary).

The ending was so sad - I was weeping buckets, and loved the Tassie character.

I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has read it and if you have read anything else by her - apparently her short stories are very good, just added them to my Amazon wishlist.

I read her first novel 'Anagrams' years ago and loved it. I then went on to read some of her stories too - 'Like Life' I thik it was.

I must give this one a go too by the sound of it. I remember seeing the reviews of it and was amazed that there had been such a big gap since her previous book.
