book on french interior decorating?

I am looking for a nice book as a gift for my best friend on french interior decorating. Bought her one last year by Caroline something Hogg it was lovely all the old techniques, very rustic, so am looking for something similar.

Can't suggest a particular book, but...you could look up last year's gift book on Amazon. Once it appears, you will see the section titled something like "buyers of this book have also bought..." which lists other similar books. You can then read the reviews of those other books to see if one of them might suit your friend.

Just an idea to get you started on your search...

Have already tried that but I really need to see the illustrations in it to know if it would be right for her. Sometimes you pay a fortune and they are disappointing.
