Okay, I know it is rather sad (I do usually read intelligent literature, I promise...), but there is a chick-lit book that I read quite a few years back that I am trying to find, for various reasons.
It was written by an English 'Chick Lit' author. The chief protagonist lives in an apartment, has a close friend married to a 'celeb' of some sort... Said friend dies shortly after having a baby, and 'Desiderata' by Max Ehrmann is read at her funeral... (I think I have the details right!). It was actually rather a sweet, weepy book.
I kind of need to find this book, it's important. Have tried to find it on the web, to no avail (shocking, given that I don't know the title, author, etc!). Anyone have any idea the name of the book I am talking about? All suggestions welcomed!!
