Hints & Tips for WW

Started today, after getting on the scales and realising that I've put another 2lbs this weekend. That makes me 5 stone heavier than I was 7 years ago. Up until that point I've never been over weight. I think age, happy relationship and menopause are to blame (plus eating of course). I've tried SW but ended up having a really unhealthy relationship to food, I struggle with CC and fasting just doesn't work.

I'm trying to be sensible with WW but what foods are great for either being filling, snacking with low points, or just anything that might help a newbie.

What do people have for breakfast?

Any good recipients or your go to meals?

I'm tracking my food, but struggling to put together meals as I'm a bread, pasta, rice and red meat type of person, and these things seem to be very high in points.

When I did ww my greatest method of success was to dish out the veggies first. Half my plate would be roasted/steamed veg or salad. Then add the protein and then the carbs into the small space left on the plate.

Warburton’s bagel thins are low in points and then you could top with low fat Philadelphia or peanut butter ( weighed out of course for pointing). You could also have Matterson’s turkey bacon on top etc.

Turkey mince ( less than 2%fat) is good for making chilli with. Home Bargains sell Skinny Rice, noodles and spaghetti.

Aldi do protein ice cream and ice lollies as well as skinny meals which are worth a look ( I have found them nice). Aldi also do pots of protein mousse including chocolate flavour which for a whole pot is pretty low in points.

I've lost 10lb with WW since 16th April, so that's 8 weeks. I'm doing it online and tracking what I eat.

I have omelette and salad quite a lot for my evening meal, or chicken, salmon with rice and veg.

I try not to snack in between meals and try to drink plenty of water.

I have porridge with blueberries for breakfast. I've heard that eggs for breakfast are supposed to fill you up but I can't stomach eggs first thing.

I'd like to lose another stone so I'll keep plodding on.
