Flat butt hurts

I have a very flat butt ( 'V' shaped). It's so flat it hurts when I sit. I am not very skinny but most of my fat goes to my side hips like love handles and nothing actually travels down to my butt. I am not worried about the cosmetic aspect of it but I am really worried about not being able to sit for long without my butt feeling sore. I don't want to go for a surgery or anything but would like to know if anyone else had the same problem? What did you do to rectify it? Are there any foods/ workouts that might help? Thanks in advance

I'd focus on building up glutes to cushion you more. While there's loads of glute exercises online, I think you'd benefit from a personal trainer as you'll need to actively build muscle.

Might also be worth having a review with a physio to check there's nothing muscular-skeletal going on too. They'll be able to help remedy it if there is.

Assuming you're also lacking muscle in that area for it to be sore, in which case you'll find that other parts of your body are compensating for weak glutes, which is another reason why I think you need to a pt and/or physio to oversee a workout programme.

A well qualified pilates instructor can be great as well (I saw one who was amazing in helping me activate my lazy glutes and get them strong).

Thank you so much. Was contemplating on a pt earlier but now I will pursue that actively.

I have displaced the last bone in my coccyx. Probably a birth injury. But it's only come to light because I've lost muscle in my butt. So I'd confirm do butt exercises. I've been working on it very slowly and it is improving. But I'm also seeing 2 chiropractors.
