I see this has been launched in Australia and due in UK next week. Has anyone been on the trial for the new programme?

I'm also struggling to get my head around what a measurement is...I mostly cook from scratch so I don't often have barcodes to scan and will need to calculate the points in recipes.

@MilduraS I also do a lot of cooking from scratch and use the recipe builder on the app all the time. Once I have created a recipe, e.g. a chicken casserole, I then just reuse it over and over, editing each time if necessary. When you add an ingredient you can specify the amount in grams, or in 'items' (e.g 5 carrots). When a WW created item is measured in portion size, you can usually scroll down to see the number of grams in a portion. Sometimes if you scan an ingredient, there might be many different examples, all created by different users, and who may have selected a different measurement when creating it. I have found it easier to calculate my own items and create them myself, with the measurements I want to use, and then use those items in the recipe builder. Over time you gradually build up info so the app has most of what you use easily available to you. I have found it really useful, if a little time consuming at first when I needed to create a lot of items.

I’m not sure I have the exercise points thing working as I only get 1 point for 20 minutes rowing which doesn’t seem right if you get 3 points for 45 minutes walk. Unless you are power walking maybe.

I’ve stopped tracking this week Sad. I think I might go on pause until after Christmas

I have yet to register a single activity point for the rowing machine, when it's actually the exercise that gets my heart rate up the most. I only tend to use it for 15 mins though, as that's enough for me atm! It's bizarre really. Walking, looks like anything over 35 mins gets me 3 points, 20-35 is 2 points, and 10-20 mins 1 point. I use the elliptical at the gym for 30 mins when I go, and that usually gives me 3 points as well. Walking seems ridiculously well rewarded really. I do walk briskly, but it's not power walking.

I've just updated my activity target to 420 mins a week, to see if that reduces the number of points I get.

I haven’t logged into my WW app since November, and now it’s all changed …

My daily points went down from 26 to 18 (although I’ve played around with the questionnaire and managed to this back up to 26) but my weekly points are down from 35 to 21.

The best ever version of WW was pro points, I had my best successes on this plan. Everything since then has been unrealistic for me. I have just fired up my Ultimate Food Value Diary app, which is free, and that is still operating on a pro points basis, giving me 26 daily points and 49 weekly.

WW may just have lost a customer.

I signed up to this but I'm cancelling it and going back to simple calorie counting with Nutracheck (which is a brilliant app).

I found the fact you could earn points back to be confusing. I just want to have a fixed points budget, and know what's what!

For me the last straw - I've just had a 64 calorie bag of Metcalfes popcorn and been charged 5 points for it - that's one third of my daily allowance - madness!
