Why is the app still so crap!?

I've done WW various times over the years and the plan itself works well. However, each time the hardest thing about it is dealing with the bloody app which seems to only work 50% of the time. Is this just me? How haven't they improved it...it is surely quite a simple function to be able to search for things and log them? Just a rant.

What about the app isn't working? I use it every day, and although I think it could include more info, I don't have a problem using what is already there.

I’m relatively new and find it less great on what for the sake of anything more catchy I might call basic meal components. Like, for example, how many smartpoints on purple is a medium roast potato? Putting that into the app brings up a bewildering range of branded frozen roasts but without seeing them, I have no idea how relevant they are. Or cooked slices of a roast beef joint, that kind of thing. I end up making some really wild assed guesses. Is there a better way of finding these things on the app?

Also, does WW not have messageboards? I only see social media follows in their community.

I have been using the app for years and have no issues with it. What aspect of it is not working? Do you have the latest update?

@McLarenette have you tried searching for 'potato roast' - if I put that it in gives me values for oven ready, roasted in lard and roasted in oil, then goes on to give points for 'ready made' roasties.

Thank you! I feel foolish, not sure why it doesn’t come up when searching roast potato but potato roast does but yay!

FiveShelties · 10/11/2021 07:55

@McLarenette don't feel foolish - it takes a bit of working out and I have been a WW member for many, many years.

Good luck with the new plan.

Roast potato points would depend on whether it's shop bought or homemade, I make my own so they are 0 points but you'd have to point a shop bought one as they use oil
