I’ve been doing this for 5 weeks and have lost half a pound!!!! I’m SO disheartened and upset! I’m sticking to 1200 calories a day with 1 cheat meal a week. I’m walking most days and cycle rides and generally more active than I’ve been in years. I’ve got approx 3 stone to lose so it shouldn’t be this slow!!! Any ideas or words of wisdom???

I am definable not a dieting expert but I know I've seen a few threads on this topic where the op has a cheat meal.

The other culprit could be not logging and weighing your calories (I know before I started logging and weighing the kids leftovers didn't have any calories Grin).

What height are you and do you factor in calories burnt through exercise?

Are you counting the zero point food?

Are you definitely recording and weighing everything including drinks?

The portion size/not weighing things often trips people up.

Along with drinks, I.e milk in tea and coffee.

What do you eat in a typical day? Could it be too high carb?
