There's a lot of hidden sugar in some cereals, I think you need to look for a wholegrain and little / no added sugar. I love muesli but the dried fruit and nuts in it makes the points quite high for the amount you get in a portion. Porridge or overnight oats is the most filling for me. There's a good recipe for Oat pancakes with pear & yogurt on the 5 day green plan - i usually have it with a banana and it really fills me up. Some people seem to manage to survive on fruit and yogurt for breakfast but that's a snack for me not a meal!

Branflakes seem ok medium bowl is only 4 points then milk however much you use - this is only my second day doing WW so could be totally wrong!

Weetabix is 4sp for 2 of them.

Make sure you weigh the portion size @Boredsilly don’t just decide what you think is a medium bowl! Cereal portions are tiny.

Mumtumwobble · 31/08/2020 13:30

@emmathedilemma yes they are! I was shocked when I weighed out the correct amount. That’s part of the reason why I have weetabix. It’s easy to measure.

Boredsilly · 31/08/2020 18:51

Oh no I have been doing it completely wrong, thank you for pointing this out, if the portions are really that small I might change my mind about what I have in the morning

emmathedilemma · 01/09/2020 14:55

I would never the use the WW "small", "medium" portions unless you don't have scales to hand and have to estimate a portion size. A cereal box typically states the nutritional info for a 30g portion which barely covers the bottom of the bowl when you weigh it out!

Tesco blueberry wheats are 5SP for 46g. Add 130ml of SS milk for 2 more SPS.
