Am I doing this right?

I started WW on Monday after a failed attempt at the Cambridge Diet (products tasted awful and I wanted real food!).

I’ve stuck with it and definitely eating better but I don’t feel like I’ve lost any weight. There seem to be a lot of points! I’m on green and get 36 dailies and loads of weeklies.

Any advice welcome!

I've only got 30 dailies but I found it quite hard to stick to them the first week, although i'd already done my food shop so had to work with what I had in. I don't do well on low carb and I tend to eat small meals and snacks rather than 3 main meals a day so I found it hard. I think during lockdown i'd got into the habit of snacking on stuff that's too high in sugar so had to cut back on that. I can't eat any more fruit or veg than I already do or it sets my IBS off but I usually have at least 8 portions a day.
I've weighed portions of cereal, rice and pasta ever since i did WW years ago so use to having relatively small portions of those (60g dry rice or pasta is my standard).

I think to get a balanced meal at lunch and dinner with both protein and carbs is quite hard within the points allowance. I've looked at some of the meals people are eating on the connect app and they often only have one or the other and bulk out their meals with a lot of what I'd consider to be junk such as WW bars and low fat crisps.
I lost 1kg in the first week having eaten every point and possibly more (damn you chocolate eggs in the fridge!!) and i don't have much to loose (BMI was 25.1).

What I would say if you're on 36 points is that will decrease as you lose weight so I would look to use the "extra" daily ones on larger portions rather than treats and snacks - it's easier to drop 10g off your portion of rice or pasta than it is to drop the afternoon kitkat with your cup of tea!
