Weight watchers question

Confusedbutheyho · 07/05/2020 10:10

I’ve just joined WW, entered my weight etc and was given 30 points per day.

However I feel a bit stumped as I thought I’d be able to put in my goal weight loss? They’ve calculated it without knowing how much weight I’m wanting to lose so it seems a bit worrying to not know how much I should be losing each week or to have a goal?

Please help if you might know!

Quite normal depends what colour plan you are on Weight watchers work on a healthy diet loosing 1 to 2 pounds per week

Confusedbutheyho · 07/05/2020 10:16

@rosie1959

I’ve been given the green plan, not sure why but I’d just feel more comfy having a goal to work towards on WW.

I’ve been looking at the blue list and it seems more ‘me’ but what’s the difference between blue and green?

Never been on green too much counting for me
Basically different plans allow you different nos of points The blue plan has more zero pointed foods on it therefore less counting but you obviously get less points to use
I was on the purple plan which has even more free foods ie pasta potato but you have to be good at portion control
Presume you have the app which allows you to change between plans and gives you all the zero pointed food for each colour
Which ever you do if you stick to it you will lose weight at a reasonable rate

@rosie1959

Thanks, I don’t yet have the app but I’ll download it and might try and see how I go with the green.

Good luck Do you have access to online meetings I have stopped at the moment because I prefer face to face meetings and its telling I have put on weight Better get back on it

You can put your goal weight in. Click on the person on top right of the app, then the settings cog on the next page, then weight settings and it's in there. I joined yesterday too and it took me a little while to find it!

Hi, I'm going to start the online program tomorrow...but just wondering about my ' weeklies'. I've been looking through My WW booklet and the team leader wrote out the points to each plan. Reckon I'll do the green...so 30 points.... but there is no mention of weeklies...do they still exist?
Thanks for any replies,

Sforsh49 · 11/05/2020 10:10

I'm on green and get 30 daily and 35 weeklies

hilbil21 · 11/05/2020 10:15

I've lost 50lbs with WW I can try and help with any queries :)

Mercedeslady · 13/05/2020 13:18

I have just joined but working out the points is confusing. I am on the blue plan. Is there not a scanner you can use to work out the points?

sawollya · 31/05/2020 23:19

Oh I'd love to join a meeting right now. I am signed up to all sorts of things I can ignore. I would love to go to an old fashioned meeting and be weighed and then feel the pressure to feel less a week later. Is that what they were still doing before covid 19?

I'm 50, 5'1 and 10 stone 2. I would like to lose 16 lbs. Anybody able to figure out how many points per day I should aim not to exceed?

sawollya · 31/05/2020 23:21

@hilbil21 I know this is really cheeky of me, but can you tell me what green, blue, purple mean?

Is this too cheeky? Ignore me if it is too cheeky.

hilbil21 · 01/06/2020 08:02

It's just the 3 different plans. Purple you have more zero point foods but less points, blue you have a medium amount of zero point foods but a few more points to use. Green only most fruit and veg is zero, but you have more points to use each day. I do blue Smile

sawollya · 01/06/2020 13:47

Thanks @hilbil21, I'm just doing my best right now with no plan.

Whatever I eat will be better than what I would have eaten if I wasn't trying!
