Need advice on starting ww online

Bit of a cliche but I'm going to start weight watchers next week. I'm going to have to do it all online as where I live the meetings don't match my work pattern. I'm a bit apprehensive about this but I do need to do it. Does anyone else just do it online without attending the meetings? Is the app good? And do I need to get any food beforehand in preparation?

Hi 👋 I have done WE once before and lost 1 stone in four weeks. Life happened and I had to stop but today I’m back too it!! I only do online as the meetings near me also do not fit into my shedule with work and kids. The app is absolutely amazing! It’s easy to scan foods to get points although it’s always best to double check as members are the ones who input the points. They are usually correct tho. You have the connect side to it where it’s like fb really you can follow people, post things and everyone is so friendly. There is also the online chat where you can ask questions and get help. If WW is something you want to do I say do it! It works!
Hope this helps 😁

Thanks for replying! I've done sw in the past so just need to get in the mindset of doing ww instead :)
Is there anything I need to get me started food wise? I know before i started sw I got a food shop of sw friendly foods

I love the WW app. I've been using it for four or five years now, mostly to maintain but also to shift the odd few pounds that creep on from time to time. It's very easy to use and I much prefer it to the thought of going to meetings.

I changed from sw to ww in October and I much prefer ww, seems to allow a wider variety of food

I like the bagel thins, ww tomato soup, cauliflower rice with chilli, salads,

I wouldn't attempt a food shop before signing up, the app is fantastic and the barcode scanner is so easy

Main thing I found tricker than sw was eating out as no syn free jacket & beans but plenty of low point options

I bough basics like a 400g loaf a whole meal bread, fat free Greek yoghurt, fruit & veg. Other than that i just cool normal meals so didn’t buy anything speacial so to speak! The offers for joining online are good at the moment. Good luck!!
