Hi all, have had previous success with slimming world but lost track due to my own issues have put more weight back on than I lost. Sigh..

Cannot attend a group as the only local group is evenings which is impossible for me due to my partners work shifts.

Thinking of joining online to keep me motivated. Can’t decide between SW and WW.

I would like a basic summary of how WW works please? Tia!

Hey! I’m on ww, I’ve lost one and a half stone!

Basically you get allocated a certain amount of daily points which you can ‘spend’ on food and drink which are all pointed on the app.

You also get allocated a set of weekly points which you can either use as an extra for going over each day or for little treats or for saving for a big blow out once a week.

Then you also get to roll over your remaining points... so say for example I had 23 points daily but only used 22 I would roll 1 point into my weeklies.

I’ve found it incredibly easy to use as you can have everything and don’t have to stop eating stuff!

Hope that helps x

I’ve lost lots in the past on SW, but like you put it back on.

I’m now doing WW (did it years ago after DD1 was born)...it takes a while to get your head around the different ‘currency’ of WW if you’ve done SW in the past but you soon get used to it.

Personally, I prefer WW...more flexibility on foods especially when eating out. I hated the fact that on SW a fairly healthy sandwich, for example, has to be ‘synned’ as not a free food, when in fact it’s perfectlt fine as part of a healthy balanced diet - which WW encourages.

Good luck!

WW also have a plan called No Count which is similar to SW.

I've just looked at the WW site for meetings near me as I desperately need to lose weight, they have a picture of a beautiful lady who has lost weight....."Zanya has lost 6lbs in 14 weeks" 🤣😂 Surely they could find a better weight loss than this!
Not knocking Zanya, but it's hardly inspirational is it!!

Really...I’m sure they have much better examples than that lol! I know loads of members that have loads more in a month than that !! X
