... when on a junk food fest.

Only a couple of weeks in and doing well. However the kids and I have a few days away over half term in a city centre Travelodge. These trips are usually a bit of a junk food fest tbh. Now the oldest is a teenager they are becoming very rare (1st in 2 years) so I don't want to let diet affect what we do too much I just need advice on lessening the impact.

What junk food places do you normally go to?

If I was facing pizza I would have two slices of a vege/chicken pizza and then load my plate with free salad items. I would leave my crusts.

Fish and chips, ask if they do a non battered grilled fish and salad (My local does this) or if they sell kebabs aswell have a chicken breast kebab with lots of salad and leave the bread. If you like sauce have it on the side and dip the odd bit of chicken in.

Macdonalds grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing is around 3 pts.
