Hi has this happened to anyone else? I'm doing online, got email today to weigh in, I didn't start until Saturday so was weighing in tomorrow but had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have stayed the same. Have stuck to plan, have around 15 weeklies left. Had totm this week you think that could be the problem? Aw, so disappointing!!

I put on or don't lose on totm weeks, without fail. I've been dieting/maintaining for just under a year and still get upset when it happens! I also gain when I ovulate mid month too.

Missushb · 17/01/2014 11:46

Really? That makes me feel a bit better then, so disheartening when you have stuck to it and no loss, especially first week!

I have found since starting WW two weeks ago that I haven't, er, had a 'sit-down toilet' as often - I think I've upped my veg count so much that I am a bit full of fibre!

Keep going and it will definitely come off - with TOTM factored in you should start to lose from next week.

Thanks trainers, here's hoping! Going to get more active this week too Smile

I only lost half a pound in my first week! No totm as I'm menopausal...so I'm very disappointed.

Missushb · 20/01/2014 22:59

It's very disappointing isn't it? You count and count then...nothing! I'm going to get more active this week and see if I can get those scales moving!

Interestingly I have gained a pound and a half this week (between weigh ins). Hopefully it's water!! I definitely haven't eaten enough to gain weight and I guess this is the thing to remember.

WillIEverBeASizeTen · 21/01/2014 19:38

A 1.5 loss this week..however..I didn't wear jeans as I normally do so I guess it's probably only half a pound..hey ho...

That's brilliant! I'm weighing properly on Friday but a sneaky weigh this morning shoes things getting back to where they were!

How do you spend your points? I try to stick to 0 point foods as much as possible in the day during the week then have a more filling evening, I always like to have something nice at bedtime, last night was a couple if mini dime bars. Weekends I eat my weeklies aided by red wine ;). I lost 3st last year and want to lose a few pounds now before we go on holiday so I can relax and enjoy a bit more!

How are you getting on op?

oldbag when you put it that way it doesn't sound too bad.

Thing is the first week I only lost 1/2 pound! I usually lose weight very easily so I'm a bit disheartened:( anyway I shall persevere!

Peachypossum · 23/01/2014 14:08

Well, I don't think things will go my way tomorrow, combination of ovulating, not 'going' and being a picker ;) still, it should catch up next week.

I'm a crohnie so shouldn't lay into the 0 point foods! But I'm in remission at the moment so making the most of low res veg and fruit! Alas no 0 point chocolate cake found :(. I am craving chocolate so badly, I need to stick with it!!

Hi peachy, getting on well this week, had a cheeky early weigh in this morning as I was feeling lighter checking it wasn't my imagination! And I had lost 3 pounds!! Tried a few different things this week, pointed in some treats ie a kitkat the odd day, filling up on fruit, and being active as much as I can. Will need to make sure I stay in the zone! The old me would celebrate my loss with a packet of McCoys!! I find the app really good. Some good ideas on here too for using the points. Smile

My gain stayed! I did suspect it might so haven't taken it to heart, I know I've not over eaten to that extent so it may be hormones but I've also had a few hospital procedures over the last two weeks that are likely to distort weight.

I had a treat day yesterday, too much wine (Way too much, and its so point heavy!), Chinese, pudding but a healthy lunch (No breakfast due to hospital) so I've pointed it all out of my weeklies.

Today I am planning out the weeks food and making lots of 0 point soup for work. I've also decided to switch to the odd vodka in place of wine (I do love wine though!) with 0 point squash as I can't have fizzy so diet tonic is out. Tonight we are having Mexican so chilli with cheese, bread, nachos and home made salsa, churros for DH and DC and fresh fruit for dipping in choc sauce (experimenting on this one) maybe some nice cocktails - vodka, low cal cranberry juice and fresh lime. So, will keep lunch as close to 0 points as possible, salad, soup and some bread/toast made from ww bread.

That's great news on your sneaky weigh in! Where you not pointing treats before or not having any? What sort of meals are you having?

I know exactly how you feel. I am in exactly the same boat. In my case, though, I have a squirrley scale. I can hop on the thing three times and get three different weights. This is the second scale this has happened with, so I can't afford to keep going out and getting new scales. And I only weigh myself once a week.

I have figured out that I have to plough through and just keep on with the plan and not weigh myself every week. Even when I did WW at the meetings sometimes I would have a great loss one week and then no loss the next or even a gain and I would be doing nothing different. I am very regimented! So usually the week I was the same or up, I'd have a great loss the next week.

At any rate, I still feel better staying on the wagon. Honestly this seems crazy but when I overeat I will have "bad" dreams about overeating. I believe this is my subliminal message from myself to "Watch It". I'm living a healthier lifestyle but I agree with you, I want to see progress from my efforts! Losing weight is just about the hardest thing you can do!!
