Anyone want to talk to me or join me on the 'Idiot Proof DIet'?

So I have just been on Amazon and ordered India's book called the 'Idiot Proof Diet'.

Has anyone tried this? Does it work and what does it actually involve?

The website allowed me to look at some of the contents of the book and a lot of it seems fairly common sense

which is good but easy to be tempted away from!

I am 5 foot 8 and weigh 12 stone 9, would ideally like to get down to 10 stone but obviously

know it won't happen over night. I want to lose as much as possible before my holiday in August

but really am hoping it will become part of a long term lifestyle change as we are hoping to conceive

dc2 by the end of this year.

Anyone want to join me in starting it? Or got any tips/ experience of it?

Hi

I've been doing this now for 4 weeks and lost 8 lb.

I'm finding it pretty easy, but getting a bit bored of eggs/bacon/sausage for breakfast.

Generally not missing cakes, choc at all and not touched bread/pasta/rice/potatoes at all!

Having BBQ most weekends really help, think I'll find it harder in winter.
Have you found the forum, pigtotwig? Lots of useful info on there

Good luck!

Thank you for your post.

Ahh it sounds like ( must stress I haven't read the book yet!) cutting out carbs

similar to Atkins? Is that right or am I way off the mark there?

Oh, not sure I'll be good at eggs bacon sausage in the morning, I really don't want to be

cooking early in the morning just for me when ds just wants toast with cheese spread!

Mmmmm will give it a go though cos 8lbs loss is fantastic. Well done!

How much do you want to lose?

I have about 2 stone to lose and I am really hoping that I can find something that I will stick to

for life, not just go hungry for a few weeks, give up and pile on any weight I may

have starved off.

I am hoping that by winter it will have become second nature to me to eat differently

cos winter is always my down fall, eating stodgy foods and endless cups of tea and cookies!

My diet has to change forever now, enough is enough.

Thanks again. Good luck, hope I see the same results you have.
