Before the end of July...

How much weight can a 5ft 2 13st girl safely lose with diet and exercise alone? I don't want fad diets, I'm not into meal replacements, I need a kick up the bum to get thinner for this festival I'm going to!

I'm a size 16, I would LOVE to eventually be a 10 but that won't happen in a month. If I go to the gym at least 3 or 4 times a week and exercise the other days, how much can I lose? I've got one "bad" day on Wednesday, going to the cinema with 2 mates, and we'll probably share a pizza.

So tomorrow, the work begins! Anyone else with me? I've tried these threads before, but fell out of love with my last gym and have been busy, but now have a nice gym to go to and plenty of time on my hands .

Well I am 5ft 8 and currently weighing 12 stone 9lbs. I am trying to lose weight sensibly

(although of course I want it to be quick and see results asap!).

I am going to france at the end of August and I wanted to lose about 2 stone by then but I think that may be a bit

unrealistic so would be quite happy with losing a stone.

I admire your determination with the gym, I hate excercise and I know it's slowing down my weight loss.

I think you could safely lose about 10lbs by end of July but you will have to be very dedicated.

By dedicated, I don't mean starve yourself but just make sure you make healthy choices and keep up with the excercise.

Remember that excercise can be a quick walk for 20 minutes or a bike ride with the dcs

(I am assuming you have children now but I could be wrong).

It doesn't have to mean punishing yourself at the gym, unless you enjoy it, which clearly I don't!

Remember to drink loads of water. Have you tried drinking green tea aswell?

It supposidly can speed up your metabolism and also I find if I drink it when I am feeling hungry,

it sort of takes away cravings for junk food and fills me up until a meal.

Good luck, it's really not easy but I am sure it is acheivable and if you continue with it,

you could see massive changes over the next few months.
