Well it's not so much a diet as a being healthier thing i'm after. I would benefit from losing a stone but it's not a big deal to me - more I want to be healthier, have more energy and feel good about myself.

Currently I eat OK, few too many sweets/biscuits/hoovering kids leftovers maybe. I drink too much - half a bottle of wine most nights and more at the weekend. It's more a habit than a problem i think. Some weeks I run three times some not at all. I don't spend much time doing anything just for me - pedicure, read a book, hobbies etc. I just think I can do better...be better.

So from today i'm going to set myself some challenges for the coming week, and next sunday i'll add in more until I build up to the lifestyle I want to be having!

So in the next 7 days I will:
Drink no alcohol
Go for at least one run
Make time to do a proper pedicure and sort out my scaly feet!

I'll be updating this thread most days I expect - helps to keep me focused, feel free to join me if you like

Hi JustBeachy good luck with scary meeting this morning. Happy with the haircut although to be honest didn't get too much off, just shaped. Have to learn to use straighteners to try to achieve some resemblance to the way it looked when I came out of the hairdressers
Went a bit overboard with the alcohol last Saturday evening so wasn't too healthy Sunday morning. Didn't get to walk either unless you count walking to and from work and to and from shop! So here goes with the resolutions again . .

  1. Alcohol 2 nights a week maximum
  2. Walk 3 evenings/mornings
  3. Learn to straighten hair
  4. Put serious effort into losing weight - got weighed last night and weight is definitely heading in wrong direction.

At work at minute so didn't get a chance to read through everyone's posts but want to say hi and welcome to everyone!!

woahthere · 16/06/2010 10:59

I think you should all sod the ironing...

MABS · 16/06/2010 11:25

I agree! what's an iron?

desiretochange · 16/06/2010 11:35

Maybe it's what I should use to straighten my hair ...

Great meeting yesterday feel like a weight off my shoulders - phew!

Also finished that pesky work project this morning

Sadly the wine was flowing last night in celebration of the good meeting but i'm finding it hard to care very much - the sun is shining and the world is a beautiful place!

Still owe my challenges a run this week and i will try again next week to keep a lid (or cork!) on the wine!!

Have a good day y'all!

Glad to hear the meeting went well!

Did the ironing, stayed away from the wine but didn't make it to the gym, eat fruit twice a day or do much in the way of positive thinking.

I guess progress can be a slow and gradual thing?

Bumping this thread
Had great intentions back then but as always everything just fell by the wayside so just wondering how everyone else is getting on!
