How long after having a baby can you start back on ww? My lovely little dd2 was born six weeks ago and I'm feeling very healthy and breastfeeding is going great guns. My hv poo pooed the idea of it and said i shouldn't be bothered but I really feel ready.

Not sure, but I'm also thinking of starting soon (DD is 4 weeks). Was using WW pre-pregnancy to try and shed the weight I never lost after having DS; I am a wee bit scared of going back on a "regime", but even more scared of gaining 1.5 more stone while BFing, as happened before. (I ended up 4 stone overweight, felt so unfit and unhealthy, and it took until almost his 2nd birthday for me to feel like I had the mental energy to do anything about it.)

Was planning to just use online version though as the meeting I went to before was uninspiring to say the least.

You can join after your 6 week check and you get an extra 10 points per day if bf exclusively.

And if you previously got to goal, you don't have to pay until your baby is 6 months old! - i didn't find this one out until DD was 5 months and re-joined, so only got a month of it. Dorothy I also feel your pain, - I just don't seem able to lose weight whilst BF - purely because my appetite is huge and I have to eat - plus I crave chocolate when so sleep deprived, but at least going to the class this time has kept my weight stable, I've stil got a stone to lose to get back to my wedding day weight, but figure I'll manage it by christmas, by which time DD will hopefully have finally given up the boob and be sleeping through [sigh].
good luck ladies.

Good point Kate, I forgot that one.

Ah right, so we have to wait until 6 weeks - fair enough I guess. Thanks for info - and 10 extra points sounds quite achievable actually (easy to say now...)

And at least it's summer so we can eat a lot of interesting fruit without too many points.

That's sad that your meeting was uninspiring Dorothea, its a shame you are so far away or you could come to me
