I always find summer a bit depressing, I think it is because I would rather cover up in big winter jumpers to hide my body.
Does anyone else feel like this, or does summer approaching make you more motivated to lose weight?
Any tips to be motivated rather than stressed about it all appreciated.
I am on holiday in 2 weeks, and will have to wear a swimming costume one of my biggest dreads!!! ......

Hiya..... I dont know if this will help or not but I joined slimming world and it actualy worked!

They do this new way of doing it called extra easy and it really is! You can eat meat, veg, fruit, potatoes, beans etc and then u have like milk and bread as an A and a B option then u have so many sins per day for like sugar, butter etc or even chocolate!

I lost 6.5lb in my first week, a stone in 4 weeks and im now onto my stone and half!

If you can find a group near you it really is worth going to! I am someone who is totaly against diets but like yourself I was totaly dreding the summer! Now I cant wait to wear little tops and shorts haha.

Thanks Mumof2X, sorry I should have said I am on a LC diet already which is going well, but with summer and a holiday approaching I am putting so much pressure on myself.

I just hate summer clothes, my arms look like fat sausages and just burn bright red in the sun. I hate wearing tops with no sleeves, so then on hot days just feel sweaty and conscious of it. Am kinda living in leggings at the moment which aren't the best on hot days!

Saying that the weather has been crap so we probably won't even get a summer so I stressing for no reason just yet lol!

Well done to you that is a fab loss, you are doing brilliant!

Hi Simmo, I understand where you are coming from. I always wish I could wear nice summer clothes and look good in them. However, I do also find it easier to diet in the summer so that helps. I don't get as many cravings because I just don't feel as hungry.

Mumof2x, you've done brilliantly.

mumof2x - thanks for all the positive words. You are right I should be proud, just have the odd low day of despare.

Not sure what the dresses are you mention, shall I try new look? Am hoping to lose more weight and when I get to a size 12 treat myself to some new stuff, will definitely try on some new styles as suggested as I am not sure what my shape will be like. So that is quite exciting.

mummymels - I do find it easier to eat salads in the summer. However it is so cold at the moment! where is our summer??.....
