I have a new office job and in the building they have a scuffy mainly used by men gym & weights room. I can keep a few bits at work.
Give me tips on what to wear so I don't show to much skin (I'm 47 yrs & a bit chubby. What do you carry in your kit bag? & I've only got about 30 mins-45 to work out, What should I do in that time? I have flabby arms, flabby tummy & flat feet I would like to use the time to get a little bit fitter HELP!

Where whatever you feel comfortable and can move in. If they have a proper weights room you can use I really recommend this book which has a six month weight training programme in it and talks about why women should lift weights (not just the 3lb dumbells), the benefits etc.

Oh! Thank you that looks good and it will keep me focused. I know its good for women's bones to lift weights as you get older so that's what I shall do in my lunch hour instead of running around a sink estate & wreaking my hips. Again thank you

If you do start it i'd be really interested in hearing what you think. I'm six weeks in and just starting stage 2 but can see and feel a real difference in myself. Just to clarify the sort of equipment you need, it's all free weights so barbells and dumbbells etc. Good luck

Okay will do Thanks. Got my Gym card from work today. Will look through the doors on Monday then actually work out on Tuesday.

Excellent, hope you enjoy it and I've not just wasted your money! I've spent years wandering around the gym doing some cardio and doing some exercises with the really light dumbells and not seeing any results other than to get really bored really quickly and give up, this book changed all that and am really seeing the results and only working out three times a week. Good luck at the gym

I brought a second hand one. Keep me posted.

I found this forum really useful when I was starting. I've never actually posted on it but found a lot of answers to any questions I had on it and is also has a good supply of videos showing the correct way to do the exercises etc.
