WW counting points - I have a mental block about hot food at lunchtime, please reassure me!

I've started WW today, am counting points.

I've done loads of diets in the past and find it really, really hard to lose weight. I've got a theory that my diet is too bread based. ( I don't eat a lot but it's mostly all made up of bread, toast, sandwiches, bagel, crumpet etc)

So today I've decided I'm going to have a hot lunch rather than a sandwich. I've bought some WW frozen meals (4/5 points each).

However, I've got this mental block that is telling me eating hot food for lunch and dinner is greedy and I should be having salad, sandwich or a ryvita for lunch. I'm being stupid aren't i? I think it's because I never eat hot food twice in a day if you know what I mean.

Please reassure me that other people do this (have WW frozen meals for lunch) and still loose weight.

I often have hot meal for lunch & dinner usually have pasta with tinned tomato/passata based sauce, with veg tuna etc added or omelette or jacket potato for lunch then something with rice/potatoes/pasta for dinner depending on what I've had earlier.
Altho today didn't really fancy anything so just had a couple of boiled eggs with marmite toast soldiers...reminds me of childhood

So long as you stick to your points/calories it shouldn't really matter what you have for lunch, and hopefully if you have something non-bread based it will keep you full longer.

Is there any reason you're having WW ready meals tho? If you're at home then cooking for yourself would be better, or there are much nicer things you can buy than the WW meals imo...if you like them tho, its obv up to you

thanks, I just thought i'd go with WW meals this week cos they are easy and I know exactly how many points are in them and thought this might be a good way to break my bread habit!

I think WW meals taste nice but are soooo teeny! (lol - maybe portion size is another thing I need to work on!)

Once I get my confidence up I'll start making stuff!

as long as you stick to your points you will lose weight

personally i find a sandwich doesnt always fill me up and at 4p for 2 bread, ham/tuna filling and lf mayo then salad, i prefer to have pasta/jacket pot or ww meal for lunch and have tons of veg with it for same points

My very slim Czech friend is a firm believer in a hot lunch and a light supper. Traditional in Czech, apparently, and they're a pretty lean bunch!!!
