fedup of being a fatty, work depressing me so been eating crap, managed to put a stone on so today is the day, found some slimfast in the cupboard so going to have that for a week to kick start, then back to sensible eating and I have alli tablets. I do lots of walking and am generally very active.
It is my birthday in amonth so how much would it be realistic to set myself as a goal?

Realistic and stays off - 8lbs
Atkins stylee maybe a stone? BUT you will regain when you start eating carbs again.

depends on how big you are - if you are very very overweight, a stone in a month is very realistic but for more moderate weight issues, 2lb a week is the best that can be acheived after a possibly higher start for the first couple of weeks..

For the first few months or so of my diet I lost a stone a month. It has slowed down now (I couldn't go on forever losing so much weight!) but I am stil either losing or staying the same. I am doing a low carb diet called Go Lower.

I am on GoLower too and on average lose 4 lb a week....
