twinkle183 · 04/04/2010 22:16

Have decided this 3 stone is coming off, whether it likes it or NOT!!! I have given myself a target of 5 months to remove it... lol

I am fed up of feeling like this.. so dh has set me a challenge... as we are going to be apart for the next 5 months that if I am nearer to my target than he is then we get to go to VEGAS for my 30th and if not then scotland fishing... Now Scotland is beautiful but I don't fancy the fishing...

So have decided it's on like DONKEY KONG... its time for the weight to go....

Anyone want to join....??????

Welcome purplefan I think your right about what you say.. it's getting over that first hurdle isn't it!

Am struggling with finding the time to exercise at the moment as I am at college at the moment with 3 kiddies under 6 and all my time is taking up by studying.. Am not getting any under with my 30th creeping up next year!!! Want to loose all my wait before I get to Uni in September...

Any advice on how to juggle the three?

Am looking into slimming world.
really want more energy, and to feel more comfortable in my clothes again.

Prosecco · 09/04/2010 12:26

I joined weightwatchers online. I have been doing quite well but the presence of a vat loead of chocolate in the house is not helping.

Prosecco · 13/04/2010 13:43

I lost 4lb! Anyone else?

Still finding it hard to motivate myself to exercise but did manage to choose a healthy soup over macaroni cheese for lunch!

Come on everyone. I will be the first to fail (as I have done on numerous occasions ) if you don't let me know how you are getting on.

twinkle183 · 13/04/2010 14:14

I've lost 6lbs... woohoo!! Come on girls this is great!!

Well done prosecco... things are going in the right direction!

Well done ladies - keep it up! Hpe you are managing a bit of exercise to tone up - the toned bits will emerge from the wobbly bits before you know it!

I was away over the weekend but managed a run and pilates on Thursday (took the DVD to the hotel!), and a long walk in the Cotswolds on Friday and Saturday enjoying the lovely weather. we think we did about 6 miles each time. Did 30 minutes on the cross trainer on Sunday, and Billy Blanks Boot Camp yesterday. Day off today and a gym visit tomorrow.

Prosecco · 14/04/2010 09:04

Twinkle- am very of your loss. Well done!

Notyummy, you sound seriuosly motivated-bet you actually are very yummy!

We have a cross trainer I never use- I may just give that a go. Thanks for your words of motivation.

twinkle183 · 14/04/2010 19:07

The crosstrainer is brill as it bares your weight unlike running that puts pressure on your joints!!

Processo don't be us of my weight loss yours is great!!!

Well done notyummy on your exercise...! Thats great...

Am gonna do some exercise later once the kiddies are in bed and there is peace and quiet a foot... Although I have done a 1.75 mile interval train this morning... but feel the need for burning a few biscuits I ate earlier...! Thinking of doing my 30 day shred dvd not sure how I will fair but am going to give a go...! Nothing to loose

Just 1lb this week but I am feeling a bit better- it is amazing that even with such a small loss in the greater scheme of things I do feel clothes are not quite so tight, and that, in fact, this may actually be doable. In saying that, there is always the trap I usually fall into of believing I am actually a slender beanpole because my size 16 trousers fell a tad loose.

And............I even did a touch of exercise.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Prosecco · 20/04/2010 09:46

P.S Well done on your weight loss Purplefan. You have done brilliantly in such a short time. Are you finding SW a good diet to follow?

Purplefan · 20/04/2010 20:20

Hi all, hope diets are going well?
I have lost another 2.5lbs this week and am so pleased. My target for next week is 1.5lbs at least to take it to my stone and a half loss!!!

Prosecco I am finding SW increadibly easy!! I do the extra easy plan which is a combination of carbs and protein, with third of the plate free food (veg/salad)!! I don't drink as much alcohol as before (would happily sink a bottle or two of pink-wine at the weekend with neighbour!!)
It is working and I am happy with that!!

Keep up the good work ladies!

Prosecco · 27/04/2010 20:09

Well done purplefan!

Another 2lb here so that is half a stone

What about you twinkle?

Prosecco · 17/05/2010 21:25

8lb gone but am dreading weighing myself tomorrow as I have a glass of wine in hand right now and have been very lax all week .

No one else still around?

twinkle183 · 18/05/2010 11:42

I wouldn't worry babe.. just keep going! I have thrown my scales out cos my hubby said it was cheating so am just eating right and trying to fit exercise in where ever possible...

Keep going girls we will get there!!

Prosecco · 18/05/2010 22:32

2lb today 10lb in total!

Total fluke!

Glad to see you again twinkle- keep up the good work.

P.s I am in Scotland and I believe the weather is better in Vegas

Prosecco · 27/05/2010 17:38

12lb now- am feeling a bit self absorbed as I am the only one posting. Maybe time to jion a new thread if no one else here to share their news

twinkle183 · 30/05/2010 09:46

Don't feel like that!! Sorry I have been so rubbish but am revising like a mad woman as I have exams for the end of my course next week!

My weight has stopped coming off.. I always find that when I am stress nothing works and everything says the same so am not worried as I have lost a substainal amount.. but once these exams have gone... it better watch out!

Haven't weighed myself if a while as I threw the scales out but my clothes fit the same so am not going to worry about it!!!

Have started massages as well twice a month which seem to help my stress levels...

Well done on the 12lbs weight loss prosecco thats great news.. am really chuffed for you! Keep it going.....

Will buy some scales once exams have gone!! So I can give an update....

Purplefan · 11/06/2010 17:25

Hi Ladies,
Not been on this thread for a while, cos thought you had all gone!!!
Well done on your weight loss prosecco, you must've done a stone now!!
I have now lost a total of 2 stone 3.5lbs and am really pleased!!!
Hope studying is going ok twinkle and that you are finding time to eat well!!

Prosecco · 14/06/2010 11:59

Hi again purplefan! You have done so well....you must really feel the difference and I bet you are enjoying shopping for summer clothes. How much more are you planning to lose?

I really wish I could say I had lost a stone but have actually put two pounds back on so that is only 10.5. But am hoping that admitting that on here will shame me into being good again!

I haven't been on for a while as I have trouble posting (it always seems to time out), particularly at busy times grrrrrr!
So if you don't hear from me for a while, hopefully I am still shrinking.

Twinkle, hope everything is going well for you and that you are continuing to lose. You honestly gave me the kick up the bum I needed initially but I need another one so where are you?

twinkle183 · 14/06/2010 15:36

I am here..now...! Am quite have to give you a kick up the bum...!

Am not doing too bad but don't know what I have lost as I have thrown the scales out... have had enough of analysing the situation of 1lb off 2lbs back on. So have decided to go on how my clothes feel!

Have been really slack on the fitness lately but now exams have finally finished am going to kick the fitness up the arse... so join me Prosecco....

Right Prosecco how do you want a kick up the bum....???

Purplefan am so glad you are doing well... I am sure that I know you personally I mean! You don't live in a county south of Devon do you????

Keep going girlies the summer is in sight!!!

OP posts:
Purplefan · 17/06/2010 17:12

Hi ladies, I am glad that you are still around!!

Prosecco you are so close to that stone.. you know you can do it!! And yes I am loving shopping for the summer wardrobe. I lost another 2lbs this week, so am 1.5lbs away from 2.5 stone! Think I'll aim for a round 3 stone and I'll be a very happy bunny!!!

twinkle - good idea throwing scales out as it can be of a temptation to weigh constantly!! I am afraid that I live North-West of Devon in Wiltshire!

Speak soon Ladies.

Prosecco · 22/06/2010 18:37

Hooray on 2 counts!!!!

1- I can actually post

2- I am only 1lb away from my stone, purplefan! Am still that you have maintained such a steady loss-well done.

Thanks for the kick up the bum twinkle . I am starting to wear clothes I haven't worn in ages because they fit again- still have more to lose though before I get into all of them nicely. Keep up the good work!
