gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 23/03/2010 08:22

But pain means loss of appetite [brightens}]
Still fat though

BariatricObama · 23/03/2010 08:24

geordieminx · 23/03/2010 08:26

Dont worry I will eat breakfast - just need to have warm watrer and lemon first thing when I'm dieting overwise... well it'll be a week before I can go to the toilet!

BariatricObama · 23/03/2010 08:27

ah yes. i have coffee for the same reason

bobbiewickham · 23/03/2010 08:28

Morning all!

Plan for today - digging in the veg patch instead of running.

Bit cross with myself for necking three glasses of wine last night, but food was good yesterday, so swings and roundabouts...

Gherkin - sciatica is horrid, hope you not in too much pain.

Try to eat something Geordie, breakfast v important.

largeginandtonic · 23/03/2010 08:28

Welcome Droosie Su will gie you a kick.

MamaG that is a fantastic loss! Well done. The belt notch is very satisfying isn't it?

Does this spur you on?

Cyb go to m&s and walk round the shop 6 times before you buy anything. Exercise and food.

I have lifted out a piece of salmon for tea.

Am going to try and have a proper lunch today but it depends where i am.

Cyb i think you may be right about the sugar. Had not thought of that. Will pack a pice of fruit in the nappy bag.

bobbiewickham · 23/03/2010 08:28

Oops, x-posts Geordie!

Good idea about warm water and lemon - I used to do that and my skin went really nice.

largeginandtonic · 23/03/2010 08:31

Oh Su missed you! Another pound. Excellent.

So is that only 4 to go?

Are we going to have some kind of maitenance thread after this?

largeginandtonic · 23/03/2010 08:34

Arghhh missed you too Geordie. Tis shedding pounds central here.

Hope the dreadful sciatica goes i had it after dd2 for about 5 months. It was so horrid, i was constantly fidgeting and used to dread car journeys. The Osteopath in the village worked wonders.

YoginiBikini · 23/03/2010 08:57

Am fully 'woken and shoken' now. Fab song!

One pound down this morning. Hurray. Well done whoever else lost.

Maintenance thread LGAT - thumbs up from me. Scared otherwise, although I bet S&B can keep us going with lots of good links.

Bobbie, I'll think of you when I'm doing my digging too.

Off to Waitrose and veg market for good food thrill.

MamaGoblin · 23/03/2010 09:01

Well done MamaG! That's amazing.

Like the Wake and Shake but played it just after had eaten scrambled eggs and thought it inadvisable to Shake.

I like it that our thread has a soundtrack!

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 23/03/2010 09:11

Morning all

Have exercised (my bottom and legs still ache) with weights.

Waken and shaken

Had breakfast (Yog and fruit)

Biked to and from school

Plan for today;

Moving firewood (surely must count as exercise?)

Salmon and wholegrain bread

Roast chicken with steamed veg

Will read thread properly later. Feeling chipper.

bobbiewickham · 23/03/2010 09:54

Right - have planted potatoes and peas.

Food plan for today -

Have had branflakes for breakfast.
Planning on yesterday's leftover pasta with rocket for lunch.
Dinner - roasted root veg (butternut squash, sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots) with perhaps a veggie sausage?

Bit carb-tastic..?

Might have corn thins and hummus for lunch instead and give the pasta to the chickens...

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 23/03/2010 09:58

Back from dr with co-codamol. Have hottie shoved down pants at mo, as advised (glamorous)
Well done to all you big losers out there. Am jealous
Eaten half apple, cup of highlights.
Will have boiled egg with salad for lunch, can't think tea yet

AuldAlliance · 23/03/2010 10:12

Hello ladies, may I join?

Have been lurking and giggling.

I need to get in the Zone too.

I'm in the south of France and if I don't lose my post-DS2 muffin, then I fear I may never be able to travel north (the Parisians, led by Bonsoir in jackboots, will close the city gates on me for illegally importing back hamsters) or south (hordes of svelte bikini-clad women will block the roads to the Cote d'Azur lest I reveal my crepey tummy on a beach and cause mass panic to break out).

I can provide interesting cultural comparisons: multigrain thins have 17kcal here, not 22.

Today's plan:
-oat flakes and plain yog for breakfast
-handful of almonds for mid-morning break
-boiled egg & quinoa salad for lunch
-cycle to DS1's school for "carnaval" and admire him dressed as a radish
-steamed fish & veg for supper
-20-30mins exercise after boys in bed

Will you let me in?

Morning...

Ok, so have had a bagel with low fat philly (that is actually really good for me because i would usually have two maybe three )
Am feeling positive am IN THE ZONE.

BariatricObama · 23/03/2010 10:30

welcome aultalliance! do you not have the local mayor visiting you to complain about you exceeding local size regulations and demanding you fill out paperwork for your back hamsters?

were in teh south of france are you? [nosey and jealous]

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 23/03/2010 10:35

Shiney - you are very norty - you know we don't mention THAT WORD around here. Anyway we can't be a cleek because Su shouts at everyone.

Hi Droosie and Auld. Those damn back hamsters. Quinoa sounds interesting - is it calorific?

Gherkin - can highly recommend seeing a chiropracter - thought it was a load of old guff but it's blardy marvellous. Will think of you with your hotwater bottled filled pants.

LadyBlaBlah · 23/03/2010 10:48

Cool - loads of losers so far today. Su -how long for you to lose 4 lbs?

The last time I weighed I was 10st 1lb (and 5'7"). I am not weighing until Friday which will have been 6 days of diet-tastic-ness. I feel like I have lost weight already and will be gutted if I have not because totally in the zone with y'all.

Had banana for breakfast.

Having lentil soup for lunch

Ham Omelette for dinner.

Apple or grapes for snacks and water water diet coke.

CheeeseOnToast · 23/03/2010 10:56

Morning everyone. Welcome newbies.

Small porridge for me this morning, but getting a bit bored of it, might try some eggs tomorrow morning.

lunch will be WW carrot and lentil soup

Dinner will be... not sure, maybe scrambled eggs and some bacon? Have some in fridge needs using up. No dustbin DP this week so have to use things up myself. Grrr. Is scrambled eggs and bacon v v bad? I can grill the bacon if that makes it any better.

OR I could do just eggs for lunch then have soup for dinner? oh i don't know

PS awesome shake and wake this morning!!

AuldAlliance · 23/03/2010 10:58

Bariatric, I am in Provence, north of Aix.

The mayor may send a henchman soon. He'd probably rather not see for himself the revolting spectacle of a less than perfectly toned body.

Quinoa is boring but filling. No idea if it is calorific, I am new to this. I was slim and carefree till DS2. Have got into vvvvv bad habits as I work from home a lot and boredom and loneliness send me to the biscuit box all too soon...
