I've just finished reading the 7Ibs in 7 days book and plan to start at the weekend.

Can anyone tell me their experiences? Were the juices nice? How did you find time to make them ect?

TIA

Really don't follow the advice in the book.... the guy who wrote it is a menace. Make juices and enjoy them by all means as part of a balanced diet. But please don't think you can drink them as a replacement for food for a whole week because you'll make yourself really, really ill.

oh dear - bad experience? I know several people who have done it with great results.

Anyone else?

Juice fasts in principle are a incredibly bad idea. Maybe a day or so you could get away with with no ill-effects but your body is not designed to live on fluid alone and will complain like hell in the absence of solid foods. Vale rationalises this in his book by saying the dieter has to overcome irrational 'carb cravings'... which is total rubbish.

If by 'great results' you mean they lost weight? If you remove carbohydrates from the diet for seven days you will run down your short-term energy (glycogen) stores which are attached to a lot of fluid. Result - weight-loss. But it is only ever temporary.
