Eggs! Good for you, but in moderation??

I love omelettes, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and I think they're good to have as they are not that calorific and very filling.

At one point, nutritional advice was not to have more than 4 per week because they are supposed to be high in colesterol, but as I understand it the advice has changed. Does anybody know?

At the moment I am eating about 10 per week, either at breakfast or as an omelette for lunch.

The advice has changed and there is no recommended upper limit for egg consumption as long as it is part of a balanced diet. The cholesterol contained within egg-yolks was originally believed to raise blood-cholesterol levels. That has since not proved to be the case and high cholesterol is more directly affected by diets high in animal products & alcohol, by being overweight, inactive or smoking.

The above link explains it pretty well.
