My sister is the same.

We joined weight watchers, Ive lost 10lbs shes lost 13 up to now.

My skin before was great, no blemishes, good complexion never got spots!

Now its awful!!

Its so dry my foundation looks crumbly, it doesn't go on properly. Im covered in spots, all round my mouth.

Ive still got a loot of weight to loose and Im not going to stay overweight just to have good skin but what can I do??

Too much sugar perhaps? Are you cooking all fresh or using some 'diet' foods. Many of the 'low fat' alternatives are packed with loads of sugar and perhaps your body is reacting badly. Its a bit like when you were a teenager and having a period meant a chocolate fest which in turn meant spots.

You also sound really dehydrated, are you getting enough fluids? Are you getting enough natural oils or have these been cut out due to calorie content? Things like avocado, essential oils that you need for hair and skin etc.

Are you taking any supplements? Maybe evening primrose oil or starflower oil to rebalance hormones etc?

waves to dis

I would say its all your bad toxins coming out of your body as you are not eating so much crap now

give it another week or 2and i bet your skin will be glowing

drink lots of water to flush toxins out

I eat a lot of ww meals and low fat sains/tescos meals and touches wood (blondes hits head) my skin is ok

I'd go along with BlueBumedFly's suggestion to make sure that you're getting plenty of fresh wholefoods and not eating too many WW ready-meals or other diet foods which can be very high in salts, sweetners and similar things that aren't good for the complexion in a lot of people.

Also.... make sure you're getting adequate fats in your diet. Fat is something people cut down drastically on when losing weight but diets that are too low in fat can make skin very dry

Finally, I'd suggest that you take a good multivitamin each day as a precaution against your reduced calories leaving you short of vital nutrients.

agree with what everybody else has said. You still need some good fats, drink loads of water, and the toxins thing makes sense. When you do a de-tox diet it can often make you skin pretty awful initially, but after a couple of weeks settles down again.

Are you taking any vitamin supplements?
