9 weeks to the BIG 40! Can I loose 40 Lbs in 9 weeks!

Its my big 40th birthday in 9 weeks so I have set myself a challenge to loose 40 Lbs in 9 weeks on my new LC diet. I so want to look good at my big party and have planned a big shopping spree the day before to find that perfect outfit to show of my new body! Am feeling pretty confident at the moment I can do it, have already lost 10Lbs in 3 weeks and am still going strong.
Is anyone else getting these results? If so which diet is that on? Am I being realistic or just plain crazy?.......!!!!

Good luck - I was 40 last year and got married on my birthday - I lost nearly a stone in the 8weeks leading up to the big day.

I kept on reminding myself that for every 3500 calories = 1lb lost. So did lots of walking everywhere all the time, did Davina 3 times a week, and swapped wine for diet coke, no chocolate and keep the faith!

Wow well done! The last time I had a good weight loss was when I got married, it is such a great incentive. Although 40lbs is a lot and I am sure it will be noticeable I still then have a way to go. But the diet I am following should mean a weight loss of 1 stone per month for the first couple of months before it slows down to 2-3 lbs per week.
Whats the Davina DVD like, she looks fab doesn't she!

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm because you are doing so well and you must keep up the motivation. I lost two stone two years ago eating salad and crispbreads, my god was it boring and I don't really enjoy food at all now but I haven't put the weight back on. I'm a bit worried that although you will have lost fat by your birthday your skin won't have had enough time to shrink back. Also are you having dizzy spells because I did and it was because I wasn't drinking enough water and I wasn't having enough salt so be careful and all the best.

thanks so much for your support, did have a few headaches to begin with but once I was in the Ketosis stage they passed. Not a great lover of water so trying hard to drink loads.
I am also a bit concerned about the excess skin too and on another thread someone mentioned a 'power plate'. Have found a local beauty place that does 6 sessions of 10 mins for £15 and they recommend 3 sessions per week. Have you heard of these, think I will research it somemore. Have also been doing lots of walking and my legs feel a bit tighter.
