Just wondered if anybody has done this and how they found it.
I have done weight watchers for years, lost tons of weight for my wedding in 2006. Since then i've had another baby and just can't shift the weight this time think its got as much to do with will power as anything, but think a new diet will maybe inspire me and kick start me back into it.
Going to go to slimming world on Tuesday and see how i get on.

Hi,

I've been to both WW and am now going to Slimming World, in truth I find it much, much easier. Its a bit of a different way of thinking about food to WW, it seems to me just be a really healthy way to eat! I go on a Tuesday too, I'm sure you'll like it, tends to be really friendly groups and you actually participate, rather than just being lectured by a leader type of thing.

i have done both and found the following

The actual diet: with SW I had to plan in advance what I would eat eg healthy extras etc but it is easy to eat out. With ww you can eat most things and in a way you arent as limited with the red and green days, BUT you have to be careful as if you dont plana bit then you end up with no points at the end of the day, which can never happen on SW.

The meetings: I really dont like ww meetings for the same reason as the other poster. It just seems to be half an hour of one up man ship and ours seemed to focus a lot on bought foods rather than cooking from scratch. The SW meetings are more interactive and less preachy, the one I went to members used to take it in turns to bring tasters of homemade food which was really good and inspiring.

I am at the moment doing ww but not going to meetings. I find it takes less thinking about than sw, although I am eating less than I would on SW but this is what I need at the moment

good luck at SW, sometimes a new way of doing something is what you need.
