Weight Loss Surgery ( Roux En Y Gastric Bypass)

Hello my name is Laura and im from Haverhill in Suffolk i had the roux en y gastric bypass 12 weeks ago at the Luton and Dunstable hospital under Mr Jain and it was the BEST thing i have ever done. I have a very supportive gp who took me through the steps of applying for the surgery, i cant thank her enough as i feel already i have been given my life back on a plate anyone from the suffolk / haverhill/ cambridge area wish to contact me for chats/support on this matter please do my email is [email protected]

I know this is an old thread but it caught my eye for three reasons - 1. I am looking into Gastric bypass stuff fo myself; 2. You sound so positive with regard to your surgery - I was wondering if you are still feeling that way...? I would love to hear more about how it has gone for you now six months down the line; and 3. because I grew up near Haverhill though I don;tlive in that area anymore!!

It would be good to hear more about your experience of surgery and hopefully weightloss, if you are still on Mumsnet.
