I have been taking the Alli tablets since Friday, bit weird, think they will help mainly for the fact I'm eating less fat as I don't want to experience the 'treatment effects' as they call them, or pooing yourself as it's hinted at!

I eat pretty healthily anyway but I am a terrible evening picker, I need to lose about a stone, and an extra half stone on that would be fabulous

My only experience of them is a girl in the office who experienced leaking and binned them immediately! Hope you have better luck

If your BMI isn't over 27 and if you already have a healthy diet, low in fat then Alli probably isn't going to make much difference to your weight or your evening snacking habit. You might lose one extra lb in the course of 8 weeks.

I would take the money you save by not buying any more Alli, get a pair of trainers and go for a brisk walk every evening instead. I think that would get rid of your extra stone much more effectively.

how is it going bonnyb1, im interested because ive just ordered some alli. i dont think its particularly helpful to say go for a brisk walk instead. i eat healthily and walk everywhere, plus i take a brisk 2.5 mile walk every night and 2 or 3 times a week do a high impact 30 minute workout. bit patronising to presume she doesnt have a pair of trainers. sometimes when you are overweight you will as i am try anything and everything.

lol I do have some very nice trainers though they don't see that much action I admit!
Took the Alli for a week, didn't lose any more weight than I had lost the week before so sort of lost faith and the tablets are now residing in my bathroom cabinet........think I'll give them another whirl maybe.
Trouble is I worked out I could still eat high sugar things and drink wine, realised I don't eat that much fat anyway.

Tried these. Lost a few pounds. You can see the fat/oil being expelled into the toilet (sorry for TMI!) Didnt have any of the dreaded treatment effects related to needing to visit the toilet urgently, but I did find I got very depressed both times I took it. Have given up now, wouldnt recommend it.

I had Xenical prescribed by the doctor (same as Alli, but twice the strength). I lost a bit of weight at first but had to stop taking them because the side-effects stopped me working, and not just the toilet-related ones, but also the crippling headaches. I wouldn't recommend it.
