I am a bridesmaid at 2 weddings in August this year and I am dreading it (although of course haven't told either of the brides this )).

I am just so fat and my legs are vile. I am very pear shaped and although my waist is a 12 which I am comfortable with, my bum and legs are really out of proportion to my top half! I want to lose about 3 stone... can anyone give any tips or advice... anyone wanna join in?

I am thinking of just carrying on with my healthy eating which I have been doing on and off for the past 6 months and have lost around a stone since I started but I am seriously needing some motivation and should really start excercising. Anyone know of any excercises to hlp with legs? Since losing a bit of weight I now just feel even more out of proportion because I am convinced it's just come off my waist and not the area I need it to... grrrrrrr!

exercise will speed up your weight loss for sure. i found running was a great exercise for me, you can start off small - ten mins slow plot gradually building up to faster time and longer distance. also you wont be paying out tons of cash on gym fees or class fees, and you can fit it around family life easily
good luck...i think a lot of it is in the mindset you have. if you decide you are going to do it, and really focus on it, you will get there. and once you begin to see weight coming off it gives you the incentive to keep it up.

i quite fancy getting a wii fit!

need to lose weight in same areas as you.....have done in the past, and it really is down to diet and exercise. be careful tho,i ended up addicted to the exercise and lost a bit too much. i went down a shoe size even!

then got preg and put it back on,turned 40 and now it is harder to get rid of. so really this is my chance to shift it

will watch this thread too

Can I join in too, have been going to gym since Nov and trying to eat less choc drink less cider etc. etc and lost 5 kilos quite quickly . But have fallen of the wagon a bit with this cold weather. (made a steak and mushroom suet pudding yesterday lol about as off the wagon as you can get!)

I am in desperation thinking of buying a Davina workout dvd even though she is like nails down a blackboard to me as with a 2yr old I am struggling to find time for the gym has anyone else tried these? have also thought about wii fit but not sure would use it and can't afford it at the mo.

Can't believe how hugenormous I am at the moment prob a 16 now was a 18/20 until lost this bit I was a size 8 once sob. Right enough feeling sorry for myself it stops here I am going to do something about this NOW.

You could come and join us on the 3 week challenge - 3 strict weeks until the end of January.

Many of us are low carbing, but others are doing their own thing. The key thing is the help, motivation and a place to moan/whinge/rant, as necessary!
