I am allowed 23 points a day which seems a huge amount.I don't seem to be losing weight at all on the points system. It fell off when I was on the old core plan (called something different now I think) but after a couple of months I found it too restrictive.
I have a knee injury at teh moment whgich make exercise difficult but in any case shouldn't the diet itself cause me to lose weight without relying on exercise ?

Are you using all your points. I have friends who haven't and have stopped losing weight, as soon as they used all of them they started losing weightagain.

Yes the diet alone if followed correctly should result in weight loss.
When I did ww I was breastfeeding and had 24 points a day, did NO exercise and lost 2 stones .

Do you mind me asking why you have so many points ? DO you have a great deal of weight to lose?

hambler · 12/01/2010 20:20

HOw long have you been on points?

devilsadvocaat · 12/01/2010 20:20

23 points isn't that many.
i think i was on 22 before.

devilsadvocaat · 12/01/2010 20:21

are you weighing things? sometimes it's esy to eat extra points with too much pasta/potato etc.

pantomimecow · 12/01/2010 22:43

yes i'm very strict about pointing everything properly
I would like to lose 5 stone -so yes a lot of weight to lose

let us know your official ww weigh in.

BarbieLovesKen · 13/01/2010 17:21

pantomimecow, I lost 7 stone in 10 months on weight watchers (so I know it works!!) (I did about 3 weeks exercise throughout that btw )

Its possible you are giving something more or less points than you should and therefore eating over or under but I dunno... you could have just hit a natural "plateau" - I think yuou should try Kickstart - if your over 14 stone you eat 22 points a day and if under 14 stone, eat 18 points a day. Your only allowed do this for a week but whenever I found I hit a bit of a plateau this always always gave my weight loss a boost...

Best of luck
