Anybody heard of this one? I read somewhere that he was doing a diet book all about Italian eating, is it too good to be true?

The traditional italian diet, based around fresh vegetables, salads, fruit, oils and grains with relatively small amounts of meat & dairy products is generally recognised to be pretty healthy. Tasty, freshly cooked food made with simple ingredients is obviously going to be more appealing than nasty Lean Cuisines and heavily processed 'diet foods'.

If anyone were to adopt the Italian approach, control the portions or count the calories to the right level & take up some regular exercise they'd be able to control their weight and feel pretty good on it at the same time. Bet the Italians don't entertain the idea of 'low carb'... LOL
