I eat way too much sat fat
way too much comfort stodgy food
way too huge portion

not enough fruit, veg
not enough unprocessed home cooking

I am going to change that

I am going to move more

I am the heaviest I have ever neem
I dont need anything else to be depressed about, I have enough

Also a better diet will help my depression and ability to cope with the seemingly masses of shit that is being thrown at me

my diet and lifestyle changing will also make my children healthier
none of them are overweight but they will be lacking in vits and minerals which is just as important as weight

I will be digging out my scales and weighing myself at some pont today and then every monday morning thereafter

depending on the weight I finf today I will see what I would like to lose

I will be moving more (dog walking without kids so fast)
possibly thinking of trying to borrow a rowing machine ( ii enjoy song that so will do it)

going to start yoga again
I have been to classes before, used to do it alot
can use the wii fit to aassist me
I also have books
I need to tone
it not all about weight loss
I am completely unfit and totally weak

its no good and has to change
I must be as good as two people now and I;m not even one person at the mo

I will change this

I dont mind if you want to join me or not
I will happily chat and encourage others but I will keep posting regardless as it will help me to keep at it

I hope a happy, healthy 2010 to everyone

Haven't done enough exercise (again) this week, but a couple of longish walks, and I've been quite good at staying off the alcohol. Lost 1kg. So I'm going to really try harder with moving more this week.

ShinyAndNew · 25/01/2010 08:13

Can I join? I have just got a child seat for my bike. Which means I can use it now. If my legs allow that is

I am planning on taking dd1 to school on it this morning. Followed by breakie for me (musli with fruit and yoghurt), a walk in the park for doggy and dd2 and then later more bike riding with dd2.

dillinger · 29/01/2010 09:36

Hey all, hope everything is going well.

I got a wii fit but dont go on it that much, that said I went on it last night when dp was out.. Hula hooping and boxing to my hearts content

Ive been going on the treadmill most days, have signed up to a 'girls only' running group (did this a couple of years ago and enjoyed it) and got a place for the race for life in june.

Today should probably be a rest day, though I feel terribly guilty if I dont go on the treadmill each day though I know I'll just set myself up for an injury if I dont rest in between. So maybe I could try to run every other day, with brisk walks in between.

Weighing on monday

Hope you don't mind me joining this thread. How is it going Trinity? Hope you are still trying? I am on a low card diet called Go lower, have you heard of it? So far am pleased with the results, it is real food not yucky milkshakes. Giving up my glass of wine in the evening is tough though and do still miss that a lot
Youlukamazing - notice you mentioned you use a power plate? What are they like would you recommend one, do they hurt if you have a lot of weight to loose, I can just imagine tha pain of my fat being shaken about!

YourCallIsImportant · 03/02/2010 22:48

Hi, can I join?

I'm 5'5" and 10st 7lbs - the heaviest I've ever been.

I want to lose a stone by end of March - about 8 weeks. Is this realistic? I've never done a proper diet before.

I'm thinking of joining Slimming World.
I've got a bike, a treadmill and a wii fit.
I've also got the new Davina DVD.

My weaknesses are wine, chocolate, doritos, biscuits - the usual culprits.

In the past when I've wanted to shape up for a holiday or something, I've hammered the gym for a few weeks and not worried too much about food, but this time I think I really need to do both.

I'm planning to weigh myself on a Friday morning because we have a takeaway on a Friday night which I don't plan on giving up!

I'll let you know my progress every couple of days.

Good luck to all of you.

Cyb · 03/02/2010 22:56

Hi I am going to join too. If thats ok!

I am 40 in just over 2 months. I have had my fattest year since I had dd 14 years ago.

just done yoga for dummies!

Will stop eating crap.I do go to the gym (but will also run tomorrow, instead of MNing) trinity please come and tell me off.

moodlum · 03/02/2010 23:10

Am I too late to join?

I'm idle, greedy and fat. Too fat. Fatter than I ever could have imagined. If I were to sum up what I need to do, it would indeed be eat less shit and move more.

I think I will weigh in on a Friday, and spend the next couple of days deciding how I'm going to do it. I was considering Lighter Life but I think that sends the wrong message to dcs if I check out of eating for 3+ months. So probably ww for me. And perhaps the gym.

Yay. And I'm determined to join one weight loss thread that I actually stick to

So please, may I join too?

exexpat · 04/02/2010 12:03

Back again. Not doing too badly food-wise (and managing to stay off the wine pretty well) but this hasn't been a great week for moving more: I think I rather overdid the hula-hooping on the Wii fit and wrenched my back, so was hobbling around for several days. I think I'm just about back to normal now, and I have done reasonable walks with the dog yesterday and today, so perhaps it's time for me to step (gingerly) back on the Wii.... How are you doing, Trinity?

simmo39 · 04/02/2010 22:12

Hi Moodlum and Cyb - not sure what you have to loose or if you have any experience of LC diets but the one I am on you can eat real food. Initially the food is delivered to your door so you don't have to think to much about it in the beginning. Then the counsellors / nutritionist help you to start making your own food. Cost isn't ridiculous either....
It is early days for me but so far I am getting on pretty ok and haven't fallen off the diet wagon yet!
Yourcallisimportant - enjoy your Chinese before D day!
Wishing you all luck, shall we do a weigh in once a week? What do you all think?

YourCallIsImportant · 05/02/2010 10:07

Morning all, it's worse than I thought. I weighed myself this morning and I'm 10st 9lbs. I've got a throat infection this week so haven't done any exercise.

We will have our regular chinese and bottle of wine tonight, and that gives me the next 6 days to be sensible, and get some exercise under my (tight) belt.

So far this morning I've had a Muller Light yoghurt, a banana and a cup of coffee.

I think a weekly weigh in is a great idea. Let's go for it.

Good luck to all of you over the weekend.

I'll update the thread when I do any exercise.

simmo39 · 08/02/2010 22:18

Hi All,

How did the weekend go? I struggled a bit as weekends are hard and DH can eat what he wants and not put on an ounce! Managed to stick to the meals I had supplied and added veg to them.
Sunday evening was hard as I used to much my way through chocolate and crisps and the memory is still deliciously vivid. I gave my diet counsellor a call this morning and she managed to talk me back on track thank goodness.
I just need to stay focused and keep thinking of all the nice clothes I can wear. Got loads in my wardrobe that I bought in smaller sizes always thinking I will slim into them.
This time it will work, this diet is amazing and I don't feel hungry but it is just staying strong and not grabbing the chocs.
Well last week I lost 4lbs so am chuffed, hows everyone else getting on?

YourCallIsImportant · 10/02/2010 13:03

I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have lost 2lbs.

I've done 2 exercise classes this week, 1 hour of vigorous gardening and washed my car.

Well done me.

Keep up the good work girls.

simmo39 · 10/02/2010 20:35

Well done YCII, you are doing well sounds like the exercise has helped. I did quite a bit of walking but haven't joined any exercise classes. Got quite a bit to loose and think I will struggle to keep up with a class just yet. However if I shift a stone in the next 4 weeks I might feel a bit more confident about going to one.
