Anyone lost weight using a fitness DVD?

My question is just that really.

Has anyone used a fitness DVD regularly and achieved results with it?

If so, which DVD did you use and how often did you do it?

Thanks

Yes, I have. I was got very out of shape as my Dd2 was very ill for a long time and it totally disrupted my routine and stopped me from getting back into shape after her birth. I started out using a Davina DVD and also focussed on healthy eating/drinking (not dieting). Twelve weeks of regular exercise made a pretty amazing difference.

The DVDs I used were The Power of Three and 30 Mins Workouts, but she has released new ones since. I like the fact that the music is good (not naff plinky plonky music)and you can switch Davina's comments off once you know what you are doing! She uses her personal trainers to do the actual teaching.

I meant o say that I kept a chart (gold stars and everything ) and aimed for four times a week minimum with something (decent walk etc) every day.

Thanks Florence.

The Davina one is one of the DVD's I was thinking of getting, so good to know it works.

I do walk everyday and can fit in 3 times a week minimum realistically.

Am also thinking along the lines of healthy eating rather than dieting. I lost 2 stone a few years ago just by walking up a (very) steep road to work everyday - without changing my diet at all, so think exercise is the key.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred
The idea is that you do it every day for thirty days, and you really see results. There are three levels, so you do level 1 for 10 days, and so on. Each level is only 20 minutes long, so really short, but really intense. It consists of a warm up, then three circuits of 3 minutes of strength training (you'll need hand weights), 2 minutes of aerobic, 1 minute of abs.

Will have a look - thanks Lostgirl.

Yes, Davina's workouts are hard, but get results. Also, the Flavia/Kelly Brook Strictly workout is fun and your bum and thighs really feel it.

The Cindy Crawford (really old) one where she has a red swimsuit on the front - is brilliant. I did this everyday in my twenties and my midwife couldn't palpate my tummy because of my tight abs... can't say the same now however.
